Introducing Our Newest Board Member, Sally Strebel

A Seasoned Leader

Sally is a gifted entrepreneur, team builder, and strategic leader. She co-founded and grew a pioneering technology company that helped shape a multi-billion-dollar industry. She eventually guided the company through a successful sale in November 2021. Along the way, she’s worked alongside Fortune 500 organizations in high-stakes environments and created conferences that brought  together thought leaders. Her experience and wisdom will serve our mission well in the years ahead.

Full Circle

But what makes Sally’s story so special goes well beyond her résumé. Sally grew up on this land!

Her family lived on the property and her dad worked as a caretaker for Mr. Charlson. She walked these trails as a little girl nearly everyday. She  jumped into leaf piles near the main house, and learned to ride her bike down the hill toward the lake. She knew Mr. Charlson as “Mr. C” and remembers him as genuinely kind and welcoming to children. This place shaped her in ways she still carries with her.

Looking Ahead Together

To see Charlson Meadows now serving nonprofits and strengthening community has been deeply meaningful to her. And for us, having someone who loves this land the way Sally does with a sense of its history and potential for the future is a real gift.

Sally lives in Tucson, Arizona with her husband Josh and their two sons. We look forward to welcoming back the whole family when they visit this June.
