Inspired to Live Free

“Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air.”

-Ralph Waldo Emerson

The wildflowers in the meadow don’t worry about where they belong or how they’ll be received. They simply open. Each petal unfolds in its own timing, in its own place, just as it is. Sometimes others see the beauty, and sometimes it is just there beaming unnoticed.

Nature doesn’t hesitate – it blooms, it soars, and it sings. The birds don’t pause midair to question their worthiness before they lift off. The Rudbeckia doesn’t wait for permission to color the field. Freedom in nature is not loud or showy. It is natural, quiet, and steady. We are part of this wide and wondrous design.

Living free can begin with something as simple as breathing more deeply, noticing beauty more often, and trusting that we belong. Maybe it’s in the moments when we embrace imperfect action and open ourselves for connection. We can spend more time under open skies and less time living in self doubt.

Here at Charlson Meadows, nature’s quiet bravery is on display every day. In July, wildflowers bloom in the meadow. The osprey rise on invisible currents, and wind stirs through the tall grasses. No hurry. No proving. Just being. Isn’t that wonderful?!

This summer, may you live a little more like the wild things—rooted where you are, bold in your unfolding, and free in your becoming.

Take it to Heart:

  • Notice what’s blooming, soaring, or singing around you.
  • Breathe deeply and let the air remind you there is freedom available to you.
