Opening Up

Beneath layers of last year’s leaves, something fresh is reaching upward, waiting for just a bit of warmth and light. It would be easy to walk right past these quiet beginnings. Guests on our April Reflective Walk were encouraged to bend down and open up space where they noticed signs of growth on the Life Journey Trail. When we pause and gently push aside the leaves, we discover what was hidden. There could be tiny shoots, perhaps even a delicate bloom. All signs of growth teeming with potential.

In our own lives, we may be looking for growth, clarity, or renewal in this season. It may require space to breathe, time to notice, and tools to process. When we soften and open our heart, we can see what is quietly emerging. Tending to our hearts in this way is a worthy investment.

Opening up doesn’t require force. It can be a gentle act. We could release something that has been burdening us, choose a hopeful outlook, or make just enough room for something new to grow. This season, the invitation is simple: open up, even a little. Notice what is already beginning. And trust that, with care and space, new beginnings are here.

Take it to Heart:

  • FInd a place where you can clean out space around new growth as a physical reminder of an internal practice.
  • Pause and notice what is quietly emerging in your life. Maybe it is new ideas, opportunities or relationships.
  • Recognize the beauty around you without rushing past it.
